Clean Hydrogen Partnership is a unique public private partnership supporting research and innovation (R&I) activities in hydrogen technologies in Europe. Its aim is to strengthen and integrate EU scientific capacity, in order to accelerate the development and improvement of advanced clean hydrogen applications. The three members of the Joint Undertaking are the European Commission, fuel cell and hydrogen industries represented by Hydrogen Europe and the research community represented by Hydrogen Europe Research.

The European Conference of Transport Research Institutes (ECTRI) is an international non‐profit association that was officially founded in 2003. It is the first attempt to unite the forces of the foremost multimodal transport research centres across Europe and thereby promote the excellence of European transport research. Today, it includes 28 major transport research institutes or universities from 19 European countries. Together, they account for more than 4,000 European scientific and research staff in the field of transport. ECTRI, the leading European research association for sustainable and multimodal mobility, is committed to providing the scientifically based competence, knowledge and advice to move towards a green, safe, efficient, and inclusive transport for people and goods.
EURNEX, the EUropean rail Research Network of EXcellence, is an association representing European institutional scientific knowledge, research and education. It comprises 32 scientific institutes in the area of rail transport and mobility all over Europe, Marocco and China, represented by the standing committee with Dr. Evangelos Bekiaris and Dr. Marion Berbineau.

FEV is a leading international, independent service provider for hardware and software in vehicle and powertrain development, as well as the energy industry. The range of competencies includes the development and testing of innovative solutions up to series production and all related consulting services. The range of services for vehicle development entails the design of body and chassis, including the fine tuning of overall vehicle attributes such as driving behavior and NVH. FEV also develops innovative lighting systems and solutions for autonomous driving and connectivity.

Greenwood Engineering develops and manufactures advanced equipment for pavement condition measurements in the global road sector. All systems are designed to suit research level as well as routine survey operations. All system design and software are made in-house allowing for customized modules to be created to assure data continuity for the road administrations.
i-DREAMS is a 3-year project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. i-DREAMS aims to set up a platform to define, develop, test, and validate a ‘Safety Tolerance Zone’ to prevent drivers from getting too close to the boundaries of unsafe operations by mitigating risks in real-time and after the trip.

OPT is a pioneer of R&D projects in the operational planning sector of public transport. OPT operates in two major areas of software developing, specifically, automatic generation of public transit information and advanced computer solutions for the management and optimization of transport systems. Recently OPT developed an office dedicated to advanced mobility studies.
Optibus is an end-to-end, cloud-native software platform for transportation planning powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and optimization algorithms. ORCHESTRA is a Horizon Europe Project about traffic management of the future. ORCHESTRA aims to coordinate and synchronise traffic management across modes and networks.
TANGENT is a H2020 project that aims to deliver new tools for optimizing traffic management operations in the light of new modes of mobility and in a coordinated way among the different transport service providers.

eCharge4Drivers is an EU-supported Horizon 2020 that aims to improve the user experience at electric vehicle charging stations by offering new technologies and services that will increase the attractiveness and convenience of EVs and facilitate the shift towards electromobility and a greener future. The project is demonstrating in 10 areas accross the EU solutions such as a mobile charging service, charge points at lamp posts, networks of battery swapping stations for Light Electric Vehicles or a transportable charging station service to cover temporary needs.
USER-CHI is an industry powered, city driven and user-centric project that will co- create and demonstrate smart solutions around 7 connecting nodes of the Mediterranean and Scandinavian-Mediterranean Trans European Network-Transport (TEN-T) corridors between February 2020 – January 2024 to boost a massive e-mobility market take-up in Europe.
INCIT-EV project aims to demonstrate an innovative set of charging infrastructures, technologies and its associated business models, ready to improve the EV users experience with the ultimate goal of fostering the EV market in the EU. The project has studied the state of the art and engineered new solutions that are being tested in 7 demonstrators across all Europe. The 7 Use Cases address slow and superfast and smart bidirectional charging while providing ancillary services to the power grid and innovative dynamic and static wireless charging for urban and highway road.
MobiDataLab is the EU-funded lab for prototyping new mobility data sharing solutions. Our aim is to foster data sharing in the transport sector, providing mobility organising authorities with recommendations on how to improve the value of their data, contributing to the development of open tools in the cloud, and organising hackathons aiming to find innovative solutions to concrete mobility problems.
DataPorts project is part of the H2020 BDV PPP programme. It involves the design and implementation of A Data Platform for the Cognitive Ports of the Future and its deployment in two relevant European seaports (Valencia and Thessaloniki).
Created on 23rd July 2015, PFP Portuguese Railway Cluster Platform, today brings together more than 100 members distributed by large companies (public and private), small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), non-business entities from SI&I and other business associations, looking for the representativeness of the railway value chain in Portugal. The mission is to contribute actively to strengthening cooperation between all actors in the railway sector; develop a shared vision and a common strategy for the planning of railway research and innovation, contributing to the definition of railways development policies; act in an inclusive, transparent manner and in close collaboration with the authorities for the transport sector; promote joint research, development, and innovation (IDI) initiatives and projects and optimize the potential for research and innovation; foster the development of new businesses in the railway area; and, contribute decisively to the internationalization of the Portuguese Railway sector.
The Transportation and Mobility Research Hub – TMob-Hub, associates the competences of individual researchers, R&D units and interface institutes of the School of Engineering of University of Minho. The TMob-Hub covers the five main transportation modes, including Railways, Metro, Roadways, Airways and Maritime and Inland Waterways, as well as their interaction. It also strongly cooperates with the main national transportation actors and multiple international partners.
TRA2024 Dublin – the Transport Research Arena (TRA) conference is now firmly established and has become one of the preeminent transport conferences that is organised every two years in a different European city. The target groups of the TRA include the research and academia community, the industry and private sector, policymakers as well as public administrations active within the field of transport. The mission of the Transport Research Arena (TRA) is to support the alignment and cooperation of European, national, and regional research, innovation and deployment actions in transport by enhancing the networking and clustering of Europe’s research, innovation and development capacity based on strategic research, innovation and deployment frameworks on a shared agenda.
The scope of TRA VISIONS 2022 is to organise two competitions for transport research awards to be announced at the TRA conference in 2022: a young researcher competition with the goal of stimulating the interest in the field of sustainable transport among young researchers and students, and a competition for senior researchers in the field of innovative transport concepts based on results only from EU funded projects.

The association advocates on behalf of more than 100 of Europe’s leading rail supply companies – from SMEs to major industrial champions – active in designing, manufacturing, maintaining and refurbishing rail transport systems, subsystems and related equipment. UNIFE also brings together national rail industry associations from 12 European countries. UNIFE’s members account for 84% of the European and 46% of the global rail equipment and services market.
Waterborne has been set up as an industry-oriented Technology Platform to establish a continuous dialogue regarding Research, Development, and Innovation between all waterborne stakeholders, such as classification societies, shipbuilders, shipowners, maritime equipment manufacturers, infrastructure and service providers, universities or research institutes, and with the EU Institutions, including the Member States. Furthermore, in the context of Horizon Europe, the Waterborne TP coordinates the private side of the Co-Programmed Partnership on Zero-Emission Waterborne Transport.
